What it is
Arcus is a new perp DEX on Robinhood Chain, built by the team behind dYdX and backed by Robinhood Crypto. You can trade tokenized stocks with zero spot fees and perpetual futures on stocks, crypto, commodities and indices, all 24/7 from one self-custodial account. The team has confirmed an Arcus token is coming, and part of it is reserved for the dYdX community, which makes it one of the stronger airdrop plays on Robinhood Chain right now.
Airdrop angle
dYdX has said an Arcus token is coming, separate from DYDX, with allocation reserved for people who traded, staked, or validated on dYdX. Tokenomics and TGE timing aren’t confirmed yet. There’s no official points program published, so volume farming is speculative for now.
Caution: Leverage is the big thing. Arcus goes up to 50x, and pTokens are 3x by design, so a bad move can wipe your position fast. If you’re mainly here for the airdrop, keep your sizes small and focus on steady volume rather than big risky trades. Best thing is use delta-neutral with other perps like Variational, Risex and or Lighter core.
Risk regarding delta-neutral. Even though your total PnL stays flat, each side can still get liquidated on its own. If BTC pumps hard, your RiseX short can get liquidated while your Arcus long is in profit, and suddenly you’re not hedged anymore. Keep leverage around 3x to 5x, check both accounts regularly, and move margin to the losing side when it gets close. Fees and points rules on both exchanges can also change, so double-check the current numbers before going bigger.
Step by step guide below:
How to farm it
In order. Skipping the first step is how people end up ineligible.
Head to waitlist page and connect your wallet and your X account. Perps are still rolling out in batches, so getting on the list early matters.
Waitlist Page (opens in a new tab)Your position depends on your past on-chain perps volume (dYdX, Hyperliquid and Lighter all count, and RWA trading gives a bonus) plus how many real traders you refer. If your trading history is spread across different wallets, connect all of them so it adds up.
If you've ever used dYdX v4, link that address too. dYdX users have a reserved share of the future token.
Use Jumper to move funds over and get USDG, which is the main collateral Arcus uses.
Jumper (opens in a new tab)You don't need the waitlist for this. Buy and sell a few stock tokens like NVDA, TSLA or AAPL to start building activity on the platform.
Once you get access, trade a mix of markets, especially RWA perps like SPY and QQQ along with crypto. Consistent activity over time looks better than one big burst.
Delta-neutral means opening two equal and opposite positions on the same asset, so price moves cancel each other out. You go long on one exchange and short the same amount on another, so whether the price pumps or dumps, your overall PnL stays close to flat while you still build volume on both. RiseX is a good pair for this because it's also pre-TGE, so both sides farm a potential airdrop, and its fees are low (0.01% maker, 0.03% taker). On Arcus, maker orders are free at the base tier.
RiseX Link (opens in a new tab)For example, with $1,000 you put $500 on each exchange and use 5x leverage. You open a $2,500 BTC long on Arcus and a $2,500 BTC short on RiseX. If BTC goes up 4%, the long makes $100 and the short loses $100, so you end up flat. Opening and closing both sides with limit orders costs around $0.50 in total and gives you $5,000 of volume on each exchange. Doing the same with market orders costs around $2.60.
